Meet the Principal

 

MRS. SUSANNE TIEMAN - ST. JOSEPH CENTRAL

Mrs. Tieman loves St. Joseph Central Elementary!  She is committed to making sure that all St. Joseph Central students feel like a part of a school family that cares and values them.  Academic growth and emotional well-being are also focused on as central to student success.

Mrs. Tieman graduated from Butler University in 1997 and earned her Master’s degree from Indiana University.  Her career in education includes work at other area school districts in addition to FWCS, and in various positions including Special Education teacher; English Language Learner teacher; 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Grade teacher; curriculum writer; instructional coach; assistant principal; and principal.  This is her fourth year as principal at St. Joseph Central.

Mrs. Tieman knows that the support of families and dedication of staff is key to the success of St. Joseph Central.  She is thankful to be leading a wonderful staff and to be the principal of a fantastic group of students and families!

In her personal life, she has been married for 23 years and has a daughter who is a freshman in high school.  With 2 horses, 3 dogs, and 2 cats; her family loves animals!  Some other fun facts about Mrs. Tieman is she is a gifted speller (She won her school’s 8th grade spelling bee!), and she also is a certified scuba diver.

Mrs. Tieman is proud to be a St. Joseph Central Tiger and looks forward to continuing to support students, families, and staff in making St. Joseph the best school possible!
